FACELIFT

Imagine stepping into a future where your dreams of a smooth, firm abdomen become a vibrant reality, even after life-changing moments like pregnancy or significant weight loss have left their mark. With the incredible advancements in cosmetic surgery, a world of transformative options is at your fingertips, offering results that are both swift and enduring. A Tummy Tuck, or abdominoplasty, is a remarkable procedure crafted specifically to help you reshape not just your abdomen, but also your self-image, empowering you to embrace your body with renewed confidence. This procedure goes beyond merely targeting fat; it artfully removes excess, loose skin that may hide your natural contours while simultaneously restoring and tightening weakened abdominal muscles. The beauty of a Tummy Tuck lies in its customization, tailored to your individual body goals to help you achieve an outcome that resonates with your unique anatomy.

The end result is a beautifully sculpted, flatter, and more toned midsection that does wonders for your silhouette, uplifting your self-esteem and making you feel fantastic, whether dressed up or dressed down. If you’re considering this empowering journey, take the first step by consulting with a qualified surgeon who can inspire and guide you through the process, ensuring you understand both the potential risks and incredible benefits.

FACELIFT
FAQ

During your youth, a protein called collagen keeps your skin and underlying tissues firm and smooth; however, as you age, collagen production slows down and skin starts to wrinkle and sag. These effects are often made worse by:

  • Overexposure to the sun
  • Smoking
  • Poor diet
  • Stress
  • Genetic factors

A face-lift is an effective method of restoring the tautness of your skin and the underlying muscles, giving you a much more youthful appearance.

Not when you have one at Mitts Plastic Surgery. It’s true that in the early years face-lifts could make patients look somewhat stretched and shiny, and traditional methods can result in a “wind-blown” look rather than a natural appearance; however, Dr. Mitts uses the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) to ensure a natural result.

The superficial musculoaponeurotic system is a layer of tissue underneath the skin of your face, running from your collarbone to your forehead. The SMAS forms a sheet of strong muscular tissue that connects directly to your skin and the other muscles and fatty areas of your face and neck.

SMAS surgery is superior to traditional face-lifts that only stretch the skin because during the procedure, Dr. Mitts modifies the SMAS to tighten the underlying facial tissues as well as the skin. As the surgery involves the deeper tissues, the results are far more natural, giving you a fresh-faced, younger appearance without any of the unnatural stretching associated with traditional face-lifts.

The first stage of the process is to attend a consultation with Dr. Mitts. It’s important that you understand the procedure and the possible risks associated with having any form of surgery. Dr. Mitts also needs to make sure you’re physically and psychologically suitable to undergo the procedure.

At your consultation, Dr. Mitts explains how he carries out a face-lift and discusses the results he expects to see following surgery. You’re encouraged to ask questions and discuss any worries or concerns you may have before you and Dr. Mitts decide whether a face-lift is the right option for you.

Your face-lift operation is likely to result in bruising and swelling in the first few days, but this is a normal part of the body’s healing process. It’s best to rest for at least a couple of days following face-lift surgery to allow your body a chance to recover from the anesthetic and start the healing process.

The bruising and swelling will gradually fade over the next few weeks, and between one and three months after your surgery, you’ll be able to see the new you.
